Hi all,

My brother is an addict. He's currently in treatment, but I worry every day for him. Any advice on how to cope with a family member with addiction?

I'm so sorry you're hurting so much, TheOutsider90 It must be very hard for you. It's never easy when one of our loved ones is struggling. Unfortunately I don't have a lot fo advice to give to you. I'd suggest to just take of yourself as much as you can. That's very important. We can't fully help others if we're not taking care of ourselves first. Just be near him, try to support him, but remember that he's the one that has to do the hard work. Try not to stress yourself over it too much. It's not good for your own health. I'm sure you're already doing so much for him. You're a wonderful person. It's normal that you'd feel worried. Just try to hang on. Take care of yourself. Be there to support him but don't neglect yourself. That's the best thing you can do as a sister. You're a wonderful person. I'm so sorry, I know it's hard. Please don't give up. I hope things will get better soon for you and your brother. Is there anything we can do to help you and your brother? Please let us know. Remember that we're here for you and for him. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you and him. I'm so sorry you and your brother have to deal with all of this
