Help! I really don't know what to do. I think my wife is an alcoholic. She drinks every day. Many days she doesn't remember conversations or things we did. She says she only has a couple but the amount of alcohol she consumes is MUCH more than a couple. She doesn't think she has a problem. Her justification is she drinks to relax after work. I am at then end of my rope and I dont know what do do. Any advice would be appreciated.

Alanon is a really, really good idea.

Alcoholics and addicts never think there's a problem until they get into some kind of early recovery where they can begin to see the destructiveness of their using. She also won't quit for you. She will only quit when she is ready. Hopefully, that will be soon.

I agree with my friend's posts; she won't decide to get better until she sees for herself what she is doing, and realizes she needs help.

Alanon is a great idea because you will meet others who have family members who use. Could be parents, children, spouses, siblings, the list goes on. They can recommend reading to learn more about managing your situation. Best Wishes to you.
