Im a 40yo male and online I have an alterego which is my main roleplaying character since I spend +-20 hours a week being that alterego. This alterego has been active for 7 years +-.

Online I'm a 28 year old woman who was built from nothing and is everything a dream woman should be. I have a facebook account with several 100 friends, I play on steam and have 100s of friends there as well. They all think that Im this girl.

The way my character is built makes the girl irresistible to by far most men who start chatting with her. Especially the intelligent nerdy type of men usually get blown off their feet by the degree of delicate depth they discover in my girl. Since all of this is only roleplaying, my fantasy runs quite wild as the girl is always different with each contact. Everyone gets the girl that he 'deserves' on many levels.

The girl I pretend to be is good looking (an abroad friend had allowed me to use her pictures) but isnt a model, shes into yoga, is polyamorious, has a degree of nymphomania, is a gamer and is generally very difficult to talk to as what many smarter guys tell me sometimes.

The result is stunning: most guys develop a crush on my girl, some start making paintings of her, others write poetry or songs, some get so interested and obsessed that they start crying or complaining.

The problem is that I as a loner cant live without this hobby it seems, in fact finding a new intelligent soul and starting to explore it can give me the feeling of leading a considerably better life in general. The problem is that I become depressed when I dont gave new unusual souls to trap and old one's arent providing much fun anymore.

Im aware I should be doing better things with my life in general but being a loner is challenging.

it's good that you realise this (like you need to be doing other stuff, I mean)

what kind of stuff do you like doing? (away from the game)

their's nothing wrong with playing, by all means, play your character

it's just finding a nice balance.

It is good that you seem to have some insight. That could be the start of something more healthy for you, if you want it.

I agree that it is good that you seem to have some insight. That makes it less likely this will go “too far” (you may have to sacrifice this to become healthier imo..)
