ive been addicted to meth for about 20 years now, and ive wanted to stop so many times , but its been s difficult t function without it. cant keep my eyes open, my body is just so exhausted, i end up sleeping in the bath room at work. as soon as i get home, i crawl into bed and sleep till the next day. then i drag myself out of bed, and do it all again.. until i manage to organize money from somewhere to buy another bag of meth and feel normal for another 2 or 3 days.

as of today i have been clean for only 3 days and i feel like crap.. and as horrible as it is - the corona virus pandemic causing a nationwide lockdown is welcomed by me. purely so that during this lockdown , i can finally get clean..
we will be in lockdown for 21 days, and i just want to crawl into bed and sleep all 21 days, so that i can finally get this stuff out of my system.
im sorry for all those that have become ill and those that have died from this virus, but im going to make this virus into something positive for me, i want to be free of meths once and for all..

Dear bluemeanieATTACK,

I am glad that the virus situation has helped you with your addiction. It is great when negative things have positive effects. I'm so happy that you shared this news with us since there is so much bad news out there right now. I really appreciate your sharing your good news!

I am so sorry you are struggling, bluemeanie. Hang in there. Just take it one hour at a time. You can get through this. Getting clean is one of the greatest accomplishments of my life and well worth the trouble and agony. Don't give up!! We support you!!!!

I've heard of "I've been addicted to meth for 10, 15, 20 years" but I've never heard of "25, 30 years"!!! So take care of yourself!!!

I get that being locked down reduces your access to meth but without the skills to deal with it beyond this I do not think your chances at success are in your favor.NAWS : Find a meeting

Good on you @bluemeanieATTACK. They say every cloud contains a silver lining so...yes, seize this opportunity to self detox, you can do it! And then after that, or even during that time, perhaps seek support in staying clean - as an addict you may need that. But definitely: really capitalize on this window of opportunity!!
