i'm currently suffering from acute anxiety. panic attacks come and go all night. the nausea is the worst. i'm waiting for the medication to work, but today's day 1 and 4-6 weeks is a long time away. can anyone tell me that they've had a similar problem and been succesfully treated? or, at least had their symptoms reduced?

i am just looking for hope...

{{{{Maria}}}}, I think everybody is different and to me, everything starts falling apart when a third party in my life is triggering me "big time"
I had those symptoms this past week, all week long, the only weay they go away, and I say it again just in case, this is what works for me, is if I deal with the part I know I'm responsable for.
I did, and even though I'm tired as hell, I'm calm now, so the symptoms went away.
hang in the and PM me anytime~

For my anxiety, I've taken Xanax & now klonopin at night when it hits me really badly. I guess the klonopin is supposed to be longer lasting as I went into a hypo manic state while taking the Xanax & was sleeping only 3 hours a night.

Do they have you on Zoloft or something? Even thought "they" say it will take 4-6 weeks to get results, I found I react to meds much more quickly--days even--so it may not be that long for you to feel better.--Suzy

Hi Maria2,

I'm so sorry you are suffering.

I am on two different anti-depressants and they help me tremendously.

They are right. It doesn't take that long for some people to feel the effects of the meds. It didn't for me, anyways.

But, you sometimes have to try different ones as what works for one person, doesn't work for the other. So, you may have to do some experimenting for awhile.

I wish you luck.
Hugs,
Linda
