I'm starting college life soon and I'm terrified of people somewhat is there away to slowing get better with people

It might help to find activities that you enjoy where you can be part of something and be around people with interests similar to yours. Even a part-time job on the campus is a way to meet people and get better interacting with them.

I think many other students will be scared as well. Try to start from some common grounds... perhaps some common interests. You can start talking to them about the lessons you're taking. Would that work?
