Hello
I have been having panic attacks since 2014, I know what symptoms are gonna happen. I take my medicine daily and have been doing good when I do have a panic attack. The last two weeks at night I've been experiencing high blood pressure, heart palpitations, spasms all over body, and pressure on the left side of my neck as if someone is pressing there. I went to the doctor and she said it could be a manifestation of a panic attack. I'm having trouble accepting that because I have the same symptoms when a panic attack comes on since 2014 and then all of a sudden I have to experience this crap and it been happening every night that last two weeks and now during the day too. Can anyone give any advice or talk about a similar experience. |

I'm sorry you are experiencing all of this difficulty. There's really not a lot I can say about your symptoms. Anxiety is something I've struggled with for many years. And over the course of those years I've had quite a few physical symptoms related to it. (I'll spare you the details.) So I know from personal experience anxiety certainly can cause physical symptoms. But whether or not the new symptoms you're experiencing are panic-attack-related or not is something I couldn't say.
One thing I do believe is that doctors don't always "get it right" any more than anyone else does. The doctor you saw could be wrong. So my thinking would be that if this continues to be a problem for you, either go back to the doctor you've already seen for further consultation or consider seeing another doctor, perhaps a specialist by referral from your GP. My best wishes to you... |
