My anxiety had been a life long and ongoing problem. Recently, I spent two years living in an apartment with an upstairs neighbor insistent on causing scraping noises. Right now he was arrested for assault and robbery. Just today after few days free of him, I still anticipate the next loud scrape. Even having had heard something above.

Anxiety, as well as noise sensitivity, has always been a problem for me as well. We live in a townhome & have "neighbors" on either side of us. The one living on the side our bedroom is on can be noisy. I think she must be at least semi-nocturnal because she seems to come alive just about the time we're going to bed. Fortunately it's not too bad. But, while I'm awake, I'm always laying there anticipating the next boom or what-have-you. I think she has wooden floors and must wear wood-soled clogs because whenever she walks around, she sounds like a horse walking across a wooden bridge!

Hopefully he'll be inhabiting a different domicile for at least a year or 2!

Who, the guy who was arrested? I believe he's not going to leave jail or might go to western state. At least he's not returning home. Not that I plan to remain here in my current residence. Not that I can move yet anytime soon. I keep thinking of visiting if not moving to Japan. It's just that I don't have money. I do have a job, but the income is still low that I pay only rent, food and bills that I have nothing left over.

It's understandable you'd feel anxious, FridayT. I'm glad that neighbor isn't there with you anymore. Hopefully you'll be feeling a little safer soon. If your income is low, have you tried to ask your boss for a raise? How do you think he/she would react? Maybe you can start looking for another job with better pay. I hope you'll be able move soon! Wish you good luck. Let us know how it goes. Sending many hugs to you

I've been trying to get a raise, but they hadn't told me anything. I've been trying to apply for other jobs. I hadn't gotten anything either.
