I went to the dentist today because I’ve been having pain. I told her I thought it was from clenching my teeth but I just wanted to be sure. She said it was from clenching and she didn’t see any cavity’s or anything else . But she said that it’s really starting to affect my jaw and that it will eventually start to cause neck and back issues. Which I do already have but I never realized were associated with my clenching. She suggested some things including asking my doctor for muscle relaxers.

I’m not sure about this. Aren’t these really dangerous? Plus what doctor do I even ask about this? Psych or GP? My mom said psych because clenching is an anxiety issue. But does anyone use muscle relaxers or know anything about them?
