Does anyone ever get like this? I dont mean to sound gross do you tend to break wind a lot when you are anxious? All I ever do is well poop.I know that I have a very nervous stomach, but all I have to do is look at water and I pass gas. I have been like this for most of my life.I am just wondering if anxieties can make you gassy. In my it probably does. Sometimes my stomach tightens up inside very nervous my doctors know this they just say it is due to nerves.I know anxieties can cause a lot of things. Luckily for me I only do this at home. It would be kind of embarrassing to do it a my shrinks. I suppose it is a lot better to release it then hold it in. Just saying being gassy I think for me is part of my anxieties, sorry if this posts sounds gross but that is the way it is with me.

I'm so sorry, xmascarol I understand how you feel. Yes, anxiety can definitely make you feel gassy and turn your stomach upside down. I believe it's actually pretty normal. Some people have it worse than others. If it's getting too overwhelming for you, I'd suggest to talk to your doctor about this and see how it goes from there. Hopefully he/she will be able to help you. I understand why you'd feel embarassed, but please remember that there's nothing to be ashamed of. It's not your fault. From what you wrote, it seems like you're doing everything you can to keep it in check. Good for you! Be proud of yourself for that. Don't worry, I didn't find your thread disgusting at all. I hope you'll be able to get the help you need and deserve. Remember that we're here for you if you need it. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this

Yes, stress effects your digestive system. I get physical symptoms and digestive issues now too. Hugs.

Yeah it happens to me to. I currently can’t tell if I’m about to get a stomach bug or if I’m just very anxious. I was around someone who was throwing up all night, but I was also in an anxiety provoking situation for 3 hours. It could be either one at this point.
