Can't breathe and am currently having one. I got a medical bill from having a simple asthma test done and it's literally $500.

I am literally never going to the doctors ever again. I had anxiety even doing the damn test thinking it would be a lot of money. I should just go with my instincts. I'm the kind of person that would rather starve than spend $5 on lunch....and I'm the kind of person that thinks 19.99$ isn't too bad..but when the number gets over that amount it's unacceptable... all I can think about now is $500 that I don't have.

All I have to say is to hell with our healthcare system. This is so stupid.

I'm so sorry you're hurting so much, Dust to Dust Please do consider seeing a doctor if you can. I understand it's hard and it's definitely expensive, but it's your own health we're talking about. Are you reluctant about spending money because you don't have a lot of them or is it simply your nature? Feel free not to answer this if you don't want to. Just wanted to ask. I'm so sorry you're struggling with all of this. I agree money can definitely be an issue. Are there any other doctor that you can go to that ar eless expensive? Try to fight your anxiety as much as you can! I know it's not easy, but I'm sure you can do this! Perhaps you can talk to them abotu this and see how it goes from there if you're feeling anxious. I'm so sorry, i wish I've had more advice to give to you!. Remember that we're here for you if you need it! Feel free to PM me anytime! Let me know if I can do something to help you! Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes! I'm so sorry you have to deal with all of this, Dust to Dust! please don't give up hope! Try to hang on as much as you can! You can do this! You've got this! We all believe in you!

This is so stupid.[/QU I got so many meds myself to take.I know the health care system stinks I have medicare and guess what they wont pay anything towards one of my meds I think it is benza something luckily it isnt to bad and thank god I can go three months before I buy it ,You wanna hear something that is ridiculous?MY doctor shrink wants to give me intruda something like that it costs now dont fall off your seat $5,000 dollars for only 30 days medicare wont pay for it just a little, even with that it would cost me $3,000 dollars I cannot afford that so I have to get something else.He told me that my insurance should cover that no they dont. There is no way I n hell I am going to pay $1,000 dollars for any pills that is nonsense .We are not made out of money. It is a sad day when we cannot even afford to go to the doctors

I’m sorry you are going through this, Dust to Dust. Panic can be really debilitating. I am trying to do all the little things to reduce panic - teas, meditation etc, but still have good days & bad days. After a lot of tests I can’t pay for I am no closer to figuring what’s wrong with me, though after a normal lung function test I figured out that my difficulty breathing was due to acid reflux, i had failed to make the connection as I had no heartburn. It can be discouraging. The medical people often seem to feel that if your tests are negative it means you are just fine. While it’s a relief to know what I don’t have, I’m still sick & I don’t know why. I got a $500 bill from a Dr visit with 1 blood test, so I’m not going back unless I have an emergency. I’m not giving up but I’m trying to find cheaper ways of dealing with this at the moment. I know it’s frustrating. Good luck & hang in there.
