When stating my needs I wish I didn't get so irritated, anxious and frustrated. People don't seem to hear what I'm saying when I state them, which I guess is why I stopped talking in the first place. *sigh*

Being a teen I would imagine adults often assume they know more about what you need than you do... unfortunately. It is difficult when people repeatedly ignore what you're saying. It makes it hard not to get irritated, anxious and frustrated. I know when I get that way over something (which I do) I always feel badly about it afterward.

I don't know if I've ever given you the link to the description of the practice of compassionate abiding I often give members here on PC. Compassionate abiding is a Buddhist practice. However this is a mental-health-oriented description. Here's the link just in case I haven't given it to you previously:

I am 51 years old and still feel that way. I like what Skeezyks said. It reminds me of The Big Lebowski- The Dude Abides. Not a bad practice at all.
