Does anyone have any good tips for communicating an important message when anxious?
I need the other person to hear me and let me try to do it my own way. They are a professional but other professionals have the same opinion as me. Its not black and white and the chance to try things my way to ease my anxiety feels like the right way forward. It would not be easy to change professionals at this stage. |

Are you using email or do you need to speak to them in person? If it's in person, it could be helpful to bring notes on what you want to say. It works for me since I tend to forget things in the moment. Sometimes my notes are even whole sentences, which I read aloud if I need to.

could you perhaps say what you want to say, but using a diffrent sinario?. then the person might get what you mean and naturally ask you, do you mean... what ever it is you are trying to get across

what helps me an aweful lot too is to point to things in the room
like: if their's a noise that's making me anxious, rather than go through finding the courage to say, this is making me anxious, I'll just point to it and smile. sometimes works.. |

When I talk I sound anxious, people often see this negatively. They can back off or don't listen.
I think I write it down and give it in a letter. This allows me to use thoughtful language and know that I have got all my points across. |
