I don’t know, lately what I have had the urge to do is just look in the mirror and scream at myself to just be normal. I’m so tired of being this way.

What would make you feel normal Annoyedgrunt? One thing? A few things?

I don’t know I just feel so weird sometimes. So out of place everywhere.

Me too. I have felt that way my whole my life. I have never felt a sense of belonging anywhere. I am sorry you feel that way too. Though I realize it's only sometimes for you. I wish you peace and hope the weirdness passes very soon.

Screw em, I mean really (the Normies). Think of yourself as special instead of weird if you can. Judging from the statistics on mental health, there are so many of us. My hypomania gives me a lift and a certain amount of energy that I’m grateful for when I have it. I’m the idea person in the family because of it. I taught in the inner city and other challenged areas. Those kids really needed me and they need you if you are looking for something to do. You could foster a pet, volunteer in an assisted living facility. I just dont feel good when I sit around the house.

See why you posted this in the anxiety forum--sounds like you are anxious about not being normal.

I find the Dos Equis beer commercial about Most Interesting Man in the World to be annoying. It reminds me of when someone told me they were the "Sanest Person Alive" and also saying that I'm not. Just what is sane anyways? Perhaps we are all living in our own realities that are quite different from anyone else. I like people who are different. Even the person who said he is the "Sanest" is quite an original person, not really that "normal" at all--that is what I like about that person is their originality; however, unfortunately, that person is just NOT tuned in at all .....
