I don’t have an appointment with a psychiatrist yet- I just moved to a new area. So until I get this set up, I’m looking for vitamins or herbs that help lower anxiety.

Have any of you had success with this? If so, what substance? What dosage?

Anxiety runs rampant in my family. When one of us ran out of Xanax, another one, who is a medical professional, suggested taking Kava kava (Kava: Uses, Side Effects, Interactions, Dosage, and Warning) to bridge the gap (have no idea about dosage, assume the bottle makes a suggestion). Of course, herbal remedies are less tested and can interact with other medications but if you do not take other medications, it might be worth a try.

I have anxiety that run in my family. I quit taking vitamins because of how they made me feel.
