I live with my family and my Air Conditioning is old and we need new one since it's leaking some water, but it's still working. The AC guy came last week to clean the coil, but the machine is too old and we need a new one. We are waiting until it breaks down to get a new one because it's expensive and my brother going to pay for it. We are told it takes 4 to 8 hours to change the machine and there' won't be any AC. It sucks because I live in Florida and summer has started and my GAD has been a bit high lately that I cannot stand the feeling of being warm. Also the AC unit is inside my room closet so I can't stay in my room where I feel the most comfortable. I was thinking of going to the library, but I cannot fathom staying somewhere else over 4 hours or so, when I only go out for an hour.

I keep thinking one of these days our AC unit is going to surprise us as well. But so far at least it's still working. I live in the north. So we only need AC during the summer. But during the summer the temperatures can get up to 90 to 100 degrees with dew points in the 60's & 70's. So when we need it... we need it! (I don't function well either in the heat & humidity.) I hope your family is able to get your AC problems resolved without stressing you out any more than necessary.
