Has any of you had an anxiety attack in therapist office during counseling? If you did, how did you cope with it? I had a full blown anxiety attack in counseling today and I was completely exhausted after that.

Been there, done that. Please be kind to yourself now. I found it takes a few days to return to normal afterwards. Keep warm. Drink your favourite fluid. I like tea. Try and take things as easy as you can. Your body has gone through a massive input of emotion. It needs to recover. Sleep. I find I need to have a nap to give my body and brain a break from the intense emotions.

Do you have another appointment soon? Please discuss how to take care of yourself and make a rescue plan when you see them next.
