Well i'm not sure if this is a phobia or if my ears are extremely sensitive.
I can't stand loud sudden sounds as they scare me and i start to get really anxious just like dogs's hearing, even if i hear them more than once i get scared and sweating. so i have to hold my ears

e.g

-thunderstorms
-fireworks
-ballons
-Dog bark(mostly large dogs, like labradors)

and other type of loud sudden sounds

but if i go to a concert or cinema i can handle the loud sound
I find this is really strange, but annoying.
this isn't something that started now i always feared those.
is this a phobia or something wrong with my hearing??

Today i went for a walk and there was a sports car accelerating hard
and just that was enough to scare me and cover my ears making me
look like an idiot in public. i also suffer from social anxiety so i was sweating
and felt like my heart was gonna explode

For me it is my hot water heater, when they built these apts they put it right in our kitchen i cannot stand the loud humming noise, there were times when i was so anxious because of that noise i found myself yelling at the darn thing. So now i put my radio on and wear my headphones,it runs for about 13 minutes sometimes it feels liek 13 hours people think I am strange because of my fear.Believe me they are loud .so loud sometimes i can hear it when I am sitting outside

I wonder if maybe some of our ancestors, not that long ago, lived through a terrifying time, such as bombs dropping all around them durring wartime. And their emotions got recorded in the DNA. So we have genes with those terrifying memories in them that get switched on when we hear loud noises. ....?
