can severe or really bad anxiety cause loss of appetite? if so, is that mainly a short term thing or lasting for days/weeks??

Yes. I have only had it as a short term thing, however, I do believe it could last for days or weeks. If it did, I would go see a doctor of some sort.

Yes, definitely for me.
The anxiety causes a lump in my chest and often makes me nauseous, and then the last thing I want to do, is eat. Yes. When I'm really stressed I can go 2+ days without food. Extreme anxiety can stop your digestive system or give you an upset stomach so it's normal to lose your appetite. And stress hormones raise your blood sugar so might not feel hungry or tired when you skip meals. I hope you don't mind the extra info. My inner nerd got out just now.

my anxiety never has before. and this is probably a physical medical thing, and not a mental one. I was just trying to figure out between the two. thanks again |
