I just drank a cup of Ihop coffee and my heart feels lile it is racing.
I looked it up and found this article: If Coffee Doesn't Cause Heart Palpitations, Why Does It Feel Like My Heart Will Explode? | HuffPost Life Anyone else feel this? |

I feel that when I have too much caffeine. I had a 5-hour energy one time and it was terrible. I felt like my heart was racing, I felt sick, and I had trouble calming myself.

Oh yes! Coffee, and especially that diner/donut shop medium roast stuff, (like they serve at IHOP) is rocket fuel to me. My heart races, and I become really agitated or anxious for hours with just one cup.

People have different sensitivities to caffeine. For me personally, I don't get heart palpitations but I do get anxiety and feeling jittery - sometimes after even just one coffee.
The drinking a ton of water in 10 minutes from the article.... not sure if that's really such a great idea! |

I have moderate caffeine sensitivity. I know when I’ve overdone it. I get heart palpitations and really bad anxiety.

I love strong coffee! I decided to get a bag of Starbuck's "Expresso" blend coffee. Drank it for a few days and actually became hypomanic. Scared me to death! Now I just drink one cup in the morning of regular medium roast coffee and that problem is solved. You might want to mix some decaf grounds with your regular roast to dilute the caffeine a bit. Good luck!

It's why I switched to tea a few months ago. I am drinking maybe one cup of coffee a day now, but it's nothing like the 6 or 7 I used to.

I have unbearable anxiety that Xanax won’t even take care of when I drink peppermint mocha lattes. That’s the only type of drink I truly have issues with and I have no idea why.

Yes I get some reactions from caffeine too - although tea contains caffeine it does not seem to affect me like coffee.
Chamomile sounds like a healthy alternative! |

I can drink coffee all day and night and it has no effect at all.

Noe that I mostly drink tea, having a strong cup of coffee can rally jack me up and trigger some unpleasant anxiety that reminds me in some ways of a bad mixed episode. I really have to watch it.
