As of late, most of the time my anxiety is completely out of control. I know that It's partially because of the time of year and the fact that I have lost both my mother and brother in the last 17 months. I know that part of it is due to my relationship with my husband. The problem is, I am not sure what to do about it.
I can't eat, I can't sleep, and I can't stop shaking. I cannot visit a doctor without my husband or one of his contacts coming along, and if I go to the ER here, they refer me to an outpatient program that I cannot attend, as well as taking EVERYTHING, including my phone from me while still in the ER because of a psych diagnosis, even if I tell them I am NOT going to hurt myself or anyone else. I've already lost just about everyone close to me, and then I'm made to feel as though I am somehow in the wrong asking for help. I don't know what to do. |

I wish I knew what to tell you about this. You've experienced several serious losses recently but have had no opportunity to process any of them. It sounds as though seeing a therapist would be one potentially important option or, perhaps, participating in CBT or DBT. However, given your circumstances, it doesn't sound as though those kinds of things may be options for you. Of course the other option for severe anxiety is medications. But if you can't even see a doctor without being escorted, I don't know how realistic an option that would be for you either.
Other things people do to cope with anxiety are such things as meditation & increased levels of physical exercise. But since you're feeling your anxiety is "out of control", while these sorts of things can be helpful, they may not be sufficient. Thanks Buffy01. I used to see a pdoc and therapist, but now my husband won't allow it. I was on meds for years, and now my OCD (especially my OCD) GAD, Panic disorder, and PTSD are taking over. I rarely even sleep anymore. I'm really concerned but don't see how I can do anything about it.
