I pray, exercise, listen to a podcast, or bible. Stay far away from mainstream and social media. Toxic! I have a few friends and family I can talk to... plus I do talk therapy weekly. No meds. I try to eat healthy and take my supplements daily. Man shall not live by bread alone... I make sure your soul is right with God!

How are you all dealing with coronavirus and the restrictions many of us have to live

Break, I heard a doctor today and from what he says, a little of fever, at about 37 are the first symptom of corona virus. Also when cough is not dry, and there’s body pain. It’s hard to distinguish. But, whereas you aren’t feverish, you have a cold.
It's in my sinuses now (that's where the headache comes from as well), and no fever as far as I can tell, so that does most likely sound like a cold.

Still scary. With how careful everyone is being, it should also be harder to catch a cold yet lots of people are still getting colds or the flu.

In my home country theyre saying about half of the people in intensive care are under 50 so it's not even true it affects mostly elderly people.

Are people at least keeping their distance? Aren't there patrols to make sure people stay inside?

They're closing non essential shops now but I still haven't heard anything from work.

It's not very different for me. I'm usually alone and isolated, with my cats. The one thing I'm concerned about, just for myself, is that I have surgery scheduled on 4/7. It might be considered "elective", I'm not sure. I hope and pray the surgery remains scheduled (it's for an injured achilles tendon).

You’re probably will have more breakdowns. This is being very hard for everyone, much more for people with anxiety. I don’t even want to think about how people with hypochondria is getting through this.
Keep doing these relaxation exercises, I know they can help in the majority of cases.

Glad that you are dealing so well.

I’m also a podcasts’ aficionado. It’s a nice way to learn many things for example, a new language.

From your descriptions I also think you’re more likely have the last symptoms of a cold.
When I was active as a teacher, my colds began affecting my throat. Pretty normal for people who have to talk frequently.

I’m sure there are still a lot of unknown stuff about how corona virus affect people. It’s well known elderly have to be cared very well but I’m sure we all are at risk.

As for if the people is keeping distance I can only talk for the only 10 minutes I was yesterday in the street.
I have to take my doggies and laid on the wall because an unconscious father was walking with his son without mask and without caring about if they approach to me.
I’ve seen people in twos, walking their doggies. This is banned. I see people in twos going together with bags and trolleys at 10:00 pm, pretending they were going for shoppings.
Then I also saw hitting a dog by his owner because he wanted to approach my doggies. I called the man off. I couldn’t resist myself.
So, I saw extremes. But most of people are at home.
In my city, from time to time we can see a police car but I don’t see the same seriousness as in other cities and Communities.

I understand yesterday was a hard day. The fist day of a reclusion is a novelty and you don’t know how you are gonna react, you are still mentally strong, but yesterday, the second day, I understand people’s mental state went down. So, it’s up to a point normal and I wait the following days the citizens are gonna be more calm and adapted to a new situation.

Yes, with your kitties. For example this cutie you have in the pic.

Here, your surgery would be delayed until better conditions. It’s obvious because we are one of the focus now of the pandemia. Thanks god, China is helping us.

Hope you can get your surgery. It will be good sign.

People usually wear masks when they go out?? We have a major shortage of those, barely enough for medical staff.

I do seem to be getting out of breath pretty quickly when I'm dancing around my kitchen doing the dishes... but I assume peoole seriously ill with a lung infection wouldn't be dancing around the kitchen anymore

I still really don't want to go to work tomorrow in this country you also need a doctor's certificate to stay at home when you're sick. I heard from a friend that her company had gotten rid of that rule temporarily, but of course my employer who doesn't give a **** about their employees still requires the certificate.

I went to the doctor to get the certificate on Monday and it was kind of surreal. People with suspected infections having to stay outside, nurses with masks, doctor completely covered with protective clothing. And an almost empty waiting room when it's usually absolutely packed - I've been there a couple of times when I had to stand in the waiting room because there weren't enkugh chairs. Now there were 3 people in total.

But as much as I'm trying to downplay it.... I'm mostly trying to convince myself. Anxiety is high today. I know it's probably just a cold and I'm just out of shape.

But I'm scared living on my own! If it does get worse, there's no one who could drive me to a doctor or hospital. No one who keeps an eye on me if it gets worse.
My parents are in another country. If i get sick or if one of them gets sick, we can't even see each other. And with my dad being so stubborn it's very worrying.

I'm sure we'd all like to be one of those lucky few who get the virus with very little symptoms and get immunity. Otherwise you're still going to be worried all the time. This thing isn't going away anytime soon.

I hope the government where you are takes wise measures and you don’t have to go to work.
I’m better today but yesterday I suffered a breakdown. I’m also alone and have to take the doggies out for five minutes three times a day. I don’t want to go out.

It seems people is taking the thing with much more responsibility. Today I went to the supermarket and everybody was observing the rules, sometimes shop-keepers had to call them attention to a rule but it was pretty calm.

My family is here, most of them in the same city but we have to be separated. My siblings made a group call everyday along with my mother but I can’t do it. I barely talk on the phone.

I understand at these moments online world plays a major role.

You can talk to me when you need it.

Break, I do understand you. When I was living in another city alone while working, I felt terrible alone and frustrated. But, I couldn’t do anything because my social anxiety didn’t let me have a circle of people around.
I felt so different and alone.
They were ones of the worst moment in my life.

My parents were supposed to come visit at the end of the month, and I was supposed to see them at a concert in their area next month. Obviously both trips have been cancelled and I have no idea when I'll see them again

I've been trying to keep in touch with people by text, but of course they all have their own lives and friends and don't really need me. Maybe once we're really shut in and they get sick of the people around them
Only one friend I regularly talk to.

Yes, sure they are worried about their own stuff. It doesn’t mean you are not important for them though.
I have two friends and they are dealing with their lives also and I’m not very prone to keep a daily contact so it’s my fault.

To be honest, Break. Our situation doesn’t change a lot with this problem of the virus. If I hadn’t to take my doggies out I pretty much would go once a week to the supermarket and that’s all.

Just reading the new numbers of infections in my country and in my city tonight has sent my anxiety way out of control. They've gone up so fast!!

I can't go to the office tomorrow

I do understand. But you are young and you keep healthy. This is also to take into account.
I can’t believe your factory cannot work online. Do you think it is possible?
I’m also getting worrier each day because steps had to be taken before the spread. We knew what happened in China. But, now, it’s talk for talking.

Here, mass media are doing everything possible to keep people aware and encourage them. I have to admit it. I’m always pretty critic with them but they are doing a good role. There will be a time for criticism to the different governments and health ministers. We will know which of them let themselves lead by the fear of loosing his/her f charge.

The people here are shouting for a lockdown, there's a small minority against it and yet the government keeps "reassuring" us there won't be a lockdown yet. It's crazy. We WANT to be safe, we're willing to give up our freedom to protect ourselves and others. Just do it!!

I really don't know what I'll do tomorrow. I just calmed down from the first anxiety attack and then another one came on.

I do agree with you. You may be at risk tomorrow so I understand you. There’s a moment you have to make a decision by yourself without fears. But this is easier to say than do.
I have just protest in the window against the monarchy and I was alone at this side of my street. But, my principles are first.
Let’s see what your President says tonight.
Do you have masks?

I read the speech. No new measures. Just telling us this is serious and we all have to stick to the rules and blahblah.

I know I have to make a decision. But staying home I'd have to inform work + call my doctor to renew my note. And the new rules are actually that you can only get a certificate by phone for a cold - not sure if it would be allowed for mental health reasons.
And I'd have to think about how much to disclose to work. I can either.just say I'm still sick and sit at home feeling guilty about not working. Or I could be honest about my anxiety and say I could work from home but risk judgement.
It might sound easy for "normal" people but you know I'm not normal.
