Hello everyone,
As you are all away about the recent death of George Floyd... There are many protest happening right now across the country. One happening a few miles from my house.
Racism is very well alive today and it is the only thing that needs to be eliminated. Not the lives of innocent black/ brown people.
As of right now I am feeling very scared....uncertain about the future, scared for the safety of the younger generation. Although I am safe in my home, I can't help but to be scared.
Everywhere I turn theres news about riots and people selfishly deforming property that has nothing to do with what's happening ; About police turning up with riot gear and hurting innocent bystanders that only demand justice be served, for racism to end..
I am more fearful at the situation at hand, than about CoVID-19.
It is a fear as a minority person. A fear for our people. And I really hope that those out in the streets, whether they are part of the protests or just people heading to and from work, that they are safe.

I am trying to keep my mind of it (it doesn't mean i am ignoring the situation), but emotionally I am not prepare to handle such news..
I just wanted to post this because I have noone to share this fear without being called "dramatic"

I hope everyone is in good health.

Not dramatic a single bit!
Fear is a cancer in our society as racism and ignorance are.
I guess you are also living the fear a black mother experiences when she sees her child to get out of home, or the fear any citizen can feel when the demonstrations turn into riots. Or the fear citizens may feel in front of some speeches from who are supposed to rule our countries.
I’m sorry this is happening again in your country.
Thanks god, the majority of American society is enough mature to face and solve these problems. It will take time but you will get it.
