in my 20's.
I keep feeling I have it (I forget things because of meds, of course) but I think it's becoming worse- and I am forgetting things a lot sooner like: I wouldn't say it's getting worse every day, maybe every few days. for most things, if I don't write it down within 2 seconds of it coming in to my head, it's forgotten then their's forgetting if I've eaten or not that day (so either not ghaving dinner or having another), or being in the middle of a sentence and then suddenly forgetting what I want to say (which I know happens to a lot of people, but still) and putting things down next to me, then instantly forgetting it was in my hand and not knowing where it is (and freaking out) or listening to a song, and as soon as it's over, forget what song I just listened to. is it just my forgetfulness being pretty bad, or is it something I should look in to. I keep thinking about my grandmother. I feel like her a lot of the time, and she had it |

Medication side effect maybe? Probably most likely.
I feel the same way sometimes. I’ll pick something up then immediately go looking for it wondering where it went because I’ve forgotten that I’ve just picked it up. I think my short term memory is getting bad from long term Xanax use. They do say Alzheimer’s slowly starts showing up 20 years before you get it full blown and you can get it in your 40’s. But it’s rare. __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

Are you on a benzo Raging Vortex? Benzo's are notorious for short term memory loss. I take xanax and my memory stinks.

I wouldn't worry. As you indicate, you are too young for it. I agree that it's very likely the meds and stress are causing it. Okay?

You mention your grandma having it. Did she recently pass?? My mom recently passed away and sometimes I feel “sympathy pains” from what she was experiencing.
As for worrying about dementia..... Highly unlikely for you to develop it at your age. I’ve been struggling a lot lately wondering if I’m going “psychotic,” and I find that anxiety makes you reinforce every little thought and action to support your claim. Soooo if you do something, even ordinary, if somebody with dementia struggles with said doing then your anxiety will “reaffirm” that you’re developing / have dementia. It’s really a symptom of our illness to second guess & seek evidence for what we believe we are experiencing. |

I take a supplement that seems to help with this. Have you been sleeping well? That often triggers symptoms like this for me. I also worry about this because my grandmother died from this as well.

I doubt you have dementia at your age. Could be any of the things others said. I would mention it to your doctor.

Stress and meds can really take a toll on your memory. You can tick this one off the list when you go to the doctors next. Ask the doctor to give you a test for dementia. It is quick and easy and takes no time at all.
