I have bad anxietes, depression bipolar and a mood swings.Lately I have been doing a lot of yelling that is because we lost power and stupid Eversource isnt in any rush to restore.I do have the generator working but it has been out since 5pm last night.I know there are a lot of outages but they were told that the place I live in is top of the list.I live in senior housing people need there ac's to run and stoves ,I feel bad for the people who dont have a fan because it is very hot and humid in here lucky for me I got two fans running It is 82 I dont worry myself about the stove because of the microwave and some people I am sure wont have anything to cook on,I am mad because I wontget to see my best friend today and she has a way of settling me down.I hate myself because of the yelling but I dont even know how to control it .I have no one .I have told my doctor i dont think any meds will help with this yelling he has tried many meds but nothing is working.I have taken deep breathes it doesnt work nothing does and figure this one out she is here.

No, it doesn’t make you a bad person. No A/C is not pleasant in summer especially in senior housing.

I guess yelling, or anger, can serve a couple of different purposes. Sometimes anger is a motivator. I’ve accomplished important things because I got tired of something and my anger motivated me to speak up. Ongoing anger... lots of yelling... seems like something you could set a goal to manage better. It’s just frustration that has built up and maybe you could find other outlets. You’re not a bad person for yelling. Sometimes people just get pushed to their edge.

If you are yelling at people or loud enough so that the neighbors can hear, I'd say, sorry, but no one should have to be subjected to that. I guess if no one can hear, then it's not so bad, but it still sounds like you need to find better ways to channel your emotions. Do you have a therapist that could help?
I hope your power gets turned on soon. I know how frustrating that can be. |
