Hi all!

I wanted to know if you have any helpful advice and tips to cope with anxiety. It is so new to me, so I feel a bit lost and do not necessarily want to alarm my friends. I've successfully dealt with major depression and have been doing pretty well. I always like to be busy, so full-time work and grad school don't bother me at all, and that's what helps me to keep the depression in a check.

This week, I started having insomnia, but although I had it in the past, this time it feels different. I feel weak, nausea, and a gut scary sensation that everything will fall apart. I do have a lot of school work, but I always had it and always managed it well. However, I do worry are that I won't succeed after all these investments and sacrifices. Anyway, just writing about it here helps, so I guess that's coping too.

Hi, it sounds like you are under a lot of pressure, or maybe putting a lot of pressure on yourself to succeed. Do you think the expectations you're setting are fair?
It's helped me, recently, to talk to a psychotherapist. I was having some issues with social anxiety, and also struggling to work towards my goals. I had a lot of underlying issues, and it hasn't been straightforward. My goals, and ideas about success have actually changed quite a lot. How have you been since you posted this?
