on agoraphobia.

I found it online, and the lady who runs it lyn seems reasonable.

she does 3 weeks of what she calls talking about it.. why am I agoraphobic, why am I anxious, what are my thoughts when these ssituations happen to me, and then 3 weeks of exposure to the anxiety.

i'm really hoping it helps me at least a little. i'm doing this for myself, so I hope the £45 I payed for it was worth it.

I start on the 22nd September, we are going to do some muscle relaxing stuff

Shattered, that's wonderful! I suffer from agoraphobia, too. Would you mind PMing me the link? I really struggle and meds and therapy haven't been effective.

It's been years since I went out regularly. I live five minutes from the mall. Last time there was over four years ago. I get to pdoc and T appts and that's about it. My bf picks up my meds, grocery shops, etc. I can't even go to my bipolar support group meetings anymore...and I used to be a facilitator.

I want my life back!

I'm super excited for you!

hi....

first off, the bad news is that I can't send you the link.

the course is for people in the UK, and it's run by a UK charity.
I don't remember the last time I actually went out without having a panic attack or something (many, many years, me thinks)

thanks for posting here. my muscle relaxation cd arrived and I've been listening to it and trying the exercises to impress my tutor Friday

I just hope that my BP's not going to interfere.. it's been bad

I will post here after Friday (Saturday?), to tell you what happened

so the first session was just talking about anxiety, what causes it and what I do to help with it

we identified what my goal would be (go to mcdonalds), and she also told me about this cd she wants me to order that will teach me about the difference between relaxation and tention.

continues next week.. mostly good, though she did cut it short (I payed for a 60 minit session, and only got 30)
