I have 29 year old son that was diagnosed ADHD in 2nd grade. He was treated with Ritalin, Concerta, and something else up until 6th grade. After that, no treatment, because the private school he was in, would no longer accept ADHD kids. So he went to public schools after that. He was helped through the IEP program instead of drugs. But, in his mid 20s, he began showing OCD type behavior. I am wondering if ADHD and OCD are linked somehow, or maybe he was misdiagnosed in the beginning.

Also, I am wondering if Terbutaline could be the cause. His mother started early contractions during pregnancy, and had to be hospitalized the last 51 days. During that time, she could only be fed through IV (could not hold down anything in the stomach). Also, to stop the contractions, she was given Terbutaline also through IV. I remember that drug also made her shake and shiver for 51 straight days. I lost patience with the doctor one day about that, but he said not to worry, that it would not affect my son. But I always had doubts about that. Does anyone have any knowledge about this?
