Im 35 but since childhood ive been bullied called wierd,crazy or strange had few friends .People avoided me called me names no matter how much i tried .At age twenty after getting into depression i was finally diagnosed adhd anxiety and depression.In adult life i came to realize people are just polite they cant tell you you are wierd but they secretly deslike you use subtext .Now im learning to interpret polite behaviour have had to get rid of majority of peole i called friends

It's awful growing up different than everyone else and being alienated like that. I'm sure this must have been a tough, confusing experience for you, especially not being diagnosed until an older age. I had a similar experience, however, I was diagnosed very early on. Still, I never associated ADD with the way people treated me because I wrongly assumed they were laughing /with/ me and not at me. It was really depressing to realize a lot of people I considered my friends were bullying me. So sorry this happened to you.

I have ADHD, I was bullied in school because the medications turned me into an extreme introvert. Its something we unfortunately have to deal with whether we are on medication or not. When you are "ADD" you're picked on because of it. When you're medicated you're picked on for being wierd, quiet, and withdrawn.
