Not sure if anyone gets this. But, lately I haven't been interested in showering or bathing because I don't like the way my skin fills after leaving the water, I have to be completely dry before I can be comfortable again and sometimes even after I'm dry It can take a long time before I'm comfortable back into clothing. I hate the way my skin feels.

I use to swim when I was younger and walk in the rain but as I've gotten older I feel more intolerant and uncofortable. Also, I'm interested in any other ways I can wash and clean myself that doesn't involve me feeling too wet.

I've felt this all my adult life. Only time I don't feel it is when it's really hot out and I swim in a lake. Aspie people often have larger brains and less aimed at very complex socialization, rather aimed at socializing in a small group. Domesticated animals (and humans) have smaller brains.

It's been speculating aspies is a non domesticated man. That would explain the lower social skills, the increased aggression, the sensitive senses (you need them in the wild to hunt and stay alive), and yes the showering. Showering is standing out in the rain. If you do that in the wild, you freeze to death.

I do shower, but not fond of it. It feels like something I shouldn't do.

Im the same,I hate the thought of having a shower but once I get some towels and turn on my shower-I leave it running and then when its hot I jump into the shower. And its not so bad. You need to start thinking clean is good. ANd you HAVE to shower. I know its difficult but try again and get your clothes ready for after. good luck x

Same here. I've noticed that I have procrastination issues.

I too don't like how showers feel. For me, I also don't like how I feel when the water hits my skin. For this, it has been helpful to get a different showerhead that feels a little gentler. Some showerheads have different settings so maybe you want to get an adjustable one and see if any of the settings are more tolerable for you.
