Default Avpd but lonely and needs people to talk to

I am sure I have avpd but I am also needing to make contact wiith other people. I have no friends in real life, no family left. I am hoping to connect with people on PC to help make a people connection and break the lonliness.

I currently isolate everyday. I am ok with that, but some times feel lonely. However, I do not want to have a relationship in the real world in person as people make me nervous. I have trust issues.

I am trying to use the internet to help me connect with people, too. Like you, I isolate excessively; a few days ago, I came to the realization that I was unlikely to create relationships the traditional way, offline, and would probably need to use technology to assist me and compensate for my weaknesses.

I have AVPD. I avoid people because I'm happier without them. Without their drama and their ridiculous issues. I'm not on Facebook nor any other site except for PC.

I don't like commitments and the unneeded stress it brings. That's why I like being on PC. There's no stress here.

Hi, crystal blue.

I've found this to be a supportive community here on PC.

So feel free to post or message any time. I must confess, sometimes I don't respond for a few days when my avoidance or depression get the better of me. But I do always respond to anything directed to me. And there are always lots of other people coming and going.

Some of the other sub-forums are good for just chatting when you don't want to get into heavy issues, but still want an understanding environment.

I hope you feel a little less lonely here.

I’ll totally talk to you if you want. Although i have to warn you that my communication skills absolutely suck and it may be awkward at times cause i make it awkward lol. I do have AvPD so i do understand your hesitation yet desire for human connection.

Almost nobody posts here any more. I’ve also been dxd with this.

But I trust almost nobody. Why would they want to “help” me..they don’t.

Each dog for themselves

I am a good and loyal friend so I don’t “fit” here.

I don’t “fit” anywhere.

I hope you found some people to talk to. You’re always welcome to PM me. I don’t judge, bite, or fail to respond to people who talk to me with kindness..

I’ve been dxd with this by 3 “expert clinicians” irl... it is discouraging and hurtful posting and receiving no replies. It seems that this happens more now...no replies. Just what an avoidant wants.. yeah right. It repeats the original rejection. Ouch.

You might find the Depression forum more welcoming. It is a lot busier. I think for some, severe Depression can be co - morbid - or whatever the “experts” say .. but what do I know. Nothing, apparently.
