Here in my country the IRS yearly gives out a list of how much money everyone makes. When this list was announced a few weeks ago regarding income/taxes for 2016 there is particularly one person who made "the top of the list". I have information that this person has avpd, where it comes from doesnt matter. But this person is extremely mediashy and there is not even a recent photo of this person. Anyhow this has got me thinking, how perfect wouldnt it be to be filthy rich, not having to worry about job, relation with other human beings etc and just do whatever you feel like doing every day ( I envy this perosn soo much). On the other hand, it made me think, how is it to live being famous/rich beyond belief and media all over you wanting to know about you, your life and your business? This I think would be a nightmare for me, no way I would speak to the media, one email or two a year maybe, but thats it. What do you guys think, would you want to be stone rich with the sideeffect of having media attention over you?

Frankly, I don't think it would change anything. I've tried several life changes in the past to flee from my fears: go on a pilgrimage, move to a different country and study there and take up some odd jobs.
Nothing changed my inner outlook on the long term. At first I felt a little bit better because I thought I had finally changed my life for the better, but my problems always caught up to me, sooner or later. "If I was incredibly rich, everything would be so much easier" sounds like one of those escape fantasies I fled into so many times to no avail. There is an upper limit to the amount of money that makes us happier. Above that limit, more money doesn't mean more happiness. And to arrive at the goal so many people in society have, "being rich and famous", yet still miserable? That sounds like an utter nightmare to me, to know that you're "living the dream" and still aren't as content as the average guy. |

I would not want to be famous for all the money in the world.
