Thank you, doesn't it suck so bad when things get that bad that we don't even shower. I have taken one 2 days in a row now, and remembering how water is magic and can help wash away the day's stress and negativity. It helps my mood much when I can get it done.

I skipped a few days but showered tonight. I love the way I smell afterwards.

I hadn't had a shower or washed my hair in 5 days.

Today I was supposed to meet someone for lunch. I was undressed and ready to get into the shower an hour before we were supposed to meet, and she called to say she was ready early.

So I jumped in and took a really quick shower. Didn't wash hair.

Went out to meet this person for lunch with a dirty, nasty ponytail, no makeup, the same jeans and sweatshirt I've been wearinig for a solid week (except for the day I stayed in my pajamas all day).

While I have been doing fairly OK with showers, I have not been washing my hair. I have a lot of thick, curly hair that gets tangled easily if nor cared for regularly. So when I finally started washing it today, it was a big deal. But I did it!

I'm doing much better. I was taking a shower twice a week. Now I'm taking one 4-5 times. I took a shower today and washed my hair so I smell extra clean.

Went 4 days without a shower again.

Had a shower and washed hair. Also cut my toenails and shaved my legs for the first time since November.

How do I remember something as weird as the fact that this was the first time I cut my toenails and shaved my nails since November?

Because that's when I got fired, and I knew that I hadn't done either activity since I was working.

I took a shower tonight. The key for me is to turn on a heater in the restroom. Once the restroom is warm I can shower. I smell good again.

Well done. I know how hard it is. I feel like I'm the only one so it helps me to hear I am not. Why is it, do you think, that we don't shower when we are depressed? Weird. I used to have such high grooming standards for myself, but when I'm really low I sometimes go to work unshowered. Luckily I've mastered the art of not showering but looking and smelling good (somehow). Anyway, good for you. I hope your showering continues.

Well done, I understand totally. I have long hair and only wash it usually once a week. I wear it up so it doesn't get that dirty anyway is my justification. And recently at work I was the only person not to catch lice (because lice prefer clean hair) hehe. So there is an upside to being feral. Yay. Take care xo

It's better not to wash hair all the time anyways. I've tried to get it down to washing my hair every other day. >_> (My hair was really fried at one point)

Grats on the shower. ;D
