I take a shower most days so no biggie there for me.

Now, the barber shop is a different situation.
I always end up arguing with some punk about some stupid thing.
This time, the owner kicked me out. Maybe I'm a lousy tipper.

Case and point: I got out of his place thinking I don't need aggravations at my age.
Most of them are younger and stronger than yours truly.
At some point, someone will throw a punch and I'll be in real trouble with the law. I won't take it peacefully.

So my head was full of hair. and I hate all barbers and their place of bussiness.
What to do, what to do.
I.m at the traffic light and see a CVS pharmacy. Went down an got me a haircut machine.
Now I have the tool to rid me of those pests.

I chose the 1.5mm comb so it lasts longer, and gave myself a haircut.
Man, my head feels fresh. And I can wash my face and my head at the same time!

Next hair cut will pay for the machine. And then, freedom.
Life is good.

Thanks for sharing this! My hair isn't all that long... yet. But it just keeps getting longer every day. It wouldn't be so bad. But I'm old. And it really looks kind-of silly I think. But I really dislike getting it cut too.

I go to Great Clips in our neighborhood because it's cheap! I have a different "stylist" every time I go. I don't like being out in public to begin with, much less being out in public having some young stranger fiddling with my hair. I could either just let my hair continue to grow & buy a ribbon... or I could shave my head. But my wife wouldn't be happy with either of those options. So I have to get up the nerve to walk down to Great Clips. Oh well... at least I can pre-register on-line so I don't have to just sit there & wait my turn.

My husband has problems with barbers. He wants a specific type of flat-top and most barbers can't do it. His old barber retired recently, and there's another barber in the same shop that can do it. However, he went a few days ago and got the wrong barber. Now he looks like an eraser head. He says he'll go back next week and hope to get the right one.

He probably could get a trimmer and do it himself. He's been talking about building a robot. I'll believe that when I see it.

Always an honor and a pleasure to hear from you.

I've made adjustments in my expenses since I retired. The power haircut needed to go. But I'm vain and looks were important. Until yesterday.

I feel so fresh and neat, that I'll never grow my hair back.
My wife came home from work yesterday, and was a bit surprised.
But she liked it. All the better, 'cause I ain't going back to no barbershop no more. Ever.

I've come to a point in my life where comfort is more important. Besides, the hairline was residing anyway. A matter of time.

I'm happy. I went out today and nobody gave me "a look". BTW, the girl at the pharmacy commented that she likes it better now.

Now I know why Uncle Festus was always smiling, haha.
