I just took a shower and did some other little self-care. I'm going to the hair salon in a couple hours to get a much-needed haircut and eye brow wax. I should really be getting it colored, too, but I don't want to spend that much money. I'll wait a few weeks to do that. I know the stylist probably thinks I'm way too delinquent on things like this, but I don't have all of the money that her usual clients have. I told my husband that I'm willing to color it myself using the kits they sell in the pharmacy and grocery store. He tells me to get it professionally done. There is a HUGE difference in price. It's not a super high priority thing, in my book.

I do want to do a little extra self-care later. We'll see.

So this is a normal thing for people with bipolar because I have been struggling with this for a long time, for some reason I got up and just needed to take my bath today but I can go days without doing it, a week and I don't understand why it's so hard to just get up and take a shower and take care of yourself and take care of other things but this is something that I struggle with, I'm glad to know I'm not alone it's not just me thank you for sharing your post

yes, I believe a normal and regular bathing routine is sometimes difficult to wake up to (especially on days where we are unable to sleep, or have blue light effects take shape in our minds the night before) recently I have been contemplating the use for taking naps. is getting through the day more effective than resting when your tired? Personally I prefer a full nights sleep over anything else

Yeah just took one. I take them frequently sometimes and then I can go a week or two without. It really depends. (2 weeks is rare... 1 week is less rare than Id like it to be- usually I probably average maybe once every 4 or 5 days or so)

Dry shampoo is a life saver.

I always feel so good after a shower. Dont know why I avoid it so much except my bathroom is disgusting and that makes me not want to be in there as much as possible. Plus its winter so I dont sweat much.

But still. Need to do better! Will try to do so!

I walked my dog 3 times today and curled up in bed with him between each of the walks.
