I spoke with my doctor about my concerns with being on too many different meds right now and wanting to simplify my regimen. I wasn't sure if the 40 mg Fetzima I'm taking was doing anything so we decided I'd try to go without it. For the past couple of days I have been much more tired without it. I almost feel like it has helped increase my energy more than the Adderall I've been taking for several years. Adderall seems to have lost effectiveness so now I'm going to ask my doctor about weaning off of Adderall and increasing Fetzima. I definitely recommend it if you suffer from fatigue/low energy.

Do the stimulants cause anxiety or mania?

hi. just a side note/thought...if and when you and the treatment provider(s) think maybe its time to stop an Rx drug, try to see about doing it slowly. Personally, I try to do it as slowly as possible. The exception for me was Wellbutrin, which I (not so wisely) just...stopped. It went OK, though...kinda tired, needed naps, then I bounced back.

I hope things go OK, as you try to get on a combination that makes life easier for you, without too many adverse effects. As another personal thought, etc. I think its usually better to get anxiety, depression, etc. properly under control before even thinking about trying a stimulant, so I'm glad you're seeing about a taper off the amphetamine. Some people swear by them, but there seem to be plenty of horror stories out there, too. :-)

Thanks! I see my doctor next week and definitely feel like something needs to be changed.
