So when is started my treatment (with a pdoc that retired shortly after) I was put on lamictal. Since then I was put on lithium with the idea of that being mono, but it was never thought of to take me off of the lamictal...and all side effects were dismissed.

I am now slowly tapering down (from 200mg) and I already feel fantastic, good energy, my brain is starting to feel less foggy, just great.

I'm hoping this stays, but anyone ever gone the whole dual to mono and had good experiences?

I'm not expecting to get my sharp memory or concentration fully back, but I am pretty positive about this so far...

I have read numerous people over the years in here of coming off Lamictal and feeling much better. Now were they able to stay off and continue to feel good? I don’t know

I think if your feeling good about getting off of it just keep an eye on yourself for possible problems. Half life plays into getting truly off a Med...it takes time for your brain to get back to truly functioning sans meds.

If you don’t mind can you give us an update on how your doing ? I know a lot of people are interested in how people do stooping meds.

I had to stop it suddenly because I had the bad rush and ended up in the burn unit. That left me on lithium and Abilify. I did just fine off the Lamictal, but I don't really think it ever did anything positive for me, so it's hard to say.
