I often forget to take my meds in the morning. I have my meds prepackaged by day and time- morning, evening and nighttime. So its easy to just pull off that time's packet and take all the pills inside. But that doesn't work all the time because I get up and just plain forget to take my morning pills. Then I end up taking them later than I'm supposed to. Night time I'm fine- but I don't understand the difference? Go to sleep, take pills; get up take pills? Should be easy, no?

OY! I forgot to take my pills this morning! Thanks for the remainder. Should be easy, yes.

For some reason, I seldom forget the morning dose. I probably would sometimes, except that one of my a.m. pills is Klonopin. If I forget that one I'll feel sick and really weird.

If I didn't have the set ritual of making breakfast and eating it with hubby, I would likely forget my morning medications, from time to time. He'd forget his, too.
I have a very pretty painted box on my dining room table that contains hubby's pill box, and my two pill boxes. Every morning breakfast is on the table at about 6:45 am or 7:15 am, at the latest. As soon as I sit down at the table, the pill boxes are taken out and pills taken, then boxes returned to the pretty box. I do the same thing at dinner, though only I have evening medications. I occasionally (not often) forget my evening meds at dinner. I always eventually remember them that evening because without them I can't sleep. If I take them very late, I can't fall asleep until 3 am or so, and inevitably have a headache the whole morning. |

Have you tried using an alarm on your phone?
Another thing you could do -- If you eat breakfast or drink coffee, you can put the meds in the kitchen right next to the coffee machine or whatever. Then when you get up to make your coffee, you see the pills right in front of the machine. |

I have a weekly pill box I put my meds into, it's big and colorful and sits right on my dresser right in front of my bed. I've just been in such a routine with it I hardly ever miss them, 3 times a day I take them and I think in the past several years I've maybe missed once or twice.

I think my problem is that I need to get up and take them no matter what. If I get up early and then go back to sleep, that's when I have issues.

Just set alarms on your phone. Set 3 in a row , Like every 5 mins, it will bug you but you will remember to take the pills, that only takes 15 seconds maybe.

I'll try that @~Christina I do that for waking up at 5 a.m.: I set three alarms five minutes apart to make sure I get up. And if all that fails, there's always N3 to come into my room to exclaim what time it is.

I have trouble with this when I am really symptomatic, which is the time I most need to be on top of it. Might try the alarm thing--maybe that would help me remember.
