Tried it? Just started 6 gm a day. Then, down to 3 gm after couple days. Lots of good data for depression-neg symptoms. Why do we never talk about this?

I haven't tried Sarcosine. Thanks for mentioning it. I'll have to learn more. I hope it helps!

I'd never heard of it, so just looked it up. I don't usually take supplements because I fear med interactions. Do you know of a cross-reference site?

Sorry, Bether. Day got away from me. I tried to copy the link and failed. A good place to read about it is schizophrenia.com. they have a great article w a few references there.
After only three days, I would say it hss reduced sadness, hopelessness, and amotivation. A fair bit. Weird. Nothing ever seems to work for me. Yay-so far.

What fabulous news! Oh, I truly hope it's helpful for you. And thanks much for the info. Until reading this post it has never once occurred to me to actually look online for interaction information. I do believe psych meds have stolen many of my cognitive talents.

Thank you!

I can never really figure out if it is my illness or my meds. Dunno, really. But it is failing. 56...

Welp, i have had four consecutive days without even a moment of depression or anguish. The last time this happened was August of 2018. Placebo? Sarcosine? I guess we will find out.

I have always believed the NMDA receptor was at the center of my illness. This is more evidence that glycine is a big problem in me. Super groovy.

Hang in there, guys. New meds are coming... Totally different than the sh:$ we have been fed for decades.

Update, day tenish. Still absolutely zero depression symptoms other than persistent joylessness that is 25 yrs old. I do know how to eliminate that, luckily, but am not currently taking that drug to see just what sarcosine does.

So, huge improvement clearly due to sarcosine. Only downside is dreams are super duper vivid. Kooky.

So, I do advise trying it if struggling. PM me amd I can share dosing tips.
Yay!! It is not always bad news for us...

Outstanding, cyclist! I've been holding my own as far as depression, but I'm becoming more anxious as autumn approaches; specifically, the time change. That's usually when depression or major mixed state smacks me. If that occurs this year, I will definitely PM you for suggestions.
