Hi Guys!

I'm Niall from Ireland. I'm 39 and was finally officially diagnosed about 5 years ago but there was obviously something wrong since at least my early teens. I was very lucky to find a top pDoc who in all honesty probably saved my life.

I hope to give something to the forums on my good days and maybe take a little on my bad days.

Today has been, on the whole, a good day.

Hi I am Joshua, I have Severe Bipolar 1 with psychotic tendencies. I have also suffered with substance abuse due to self medicating. Been in recovery from a huge manic episode in August 2016. I am still trying to find a consistent baseline. I have been on more medications than I can count. Recently moved and lost all medical care so I have had to restart my lamictal (working up to 300 mg). Also I have just started taking abilify (10 mg) again. I see my new Doctor on Sept. 11th. I found this site while researching some medication and thought i would give it a shot.

Hi everyone, I've posted a quick introduction in the General section but wanted to say hello here too. I'm 38 years old, been in therapy and on and off medications (on now, thankfully) since 2002. My diagnosis was initially schizophrenia but was changed to bipolar type 1 with psychotic features - or schizoaffective, bipolar type - it depends on who you ask. Anyway...I just wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to talking with you all. I'm pretty much an open book about my mental illness so feel free to PM me if you want to chat and I'll try to reply quickly.

hi all! I'm so glad to have found this forum. I have BP 1 with psychotic features (diagnosed after the birth of my daughter in 2013). So I am still relatively new to diagnosis and newer yet to acceptance of diagnosis. Hoping to find some folks to chat with about meds, managing the illness and other such topics

Hi. New here to PsychCentral, but I'm not so sure I'm new to mental health. It's been a long road. I'm 34, from North Pole, Alaska (hence my name), and here looking for support for suspected bipolar disorder. Thanks
