No, I haven't tried, but you might want to read this:
https://www.drugs.com/comments/chlor...-sedation.html

Says "light sedation". Not sure what that means as far as how sedating it is. I would think that "heavy sedation" is what you might need if none of your other sleepy meds have worked.

I’m of a mind that if it might help...give a try. Sleep is extremely important.

I hope the Thorazine helps you finally get some good sleep. I have never taken Thorazine, though I have taken other first generation APs, though they weren't among the more sedating ones.

It's way more sedating than seroquel so I have been told.

Hopefully it works for you, then.

Sounds frustrating that you have to go through so many meds just to sleep. I'm stuck in rage mode without my sleep.

Let us know how your first night goes.

Oh man, I thought you were making a light-hearted joke by the title since your avatar is a poster for Thorazine.

My late husband was going to have to go on Thorazine because it stops hiccups. He had a bad case of hiccups after his heart valves were replaced (they irritated a nerve or something), but suddenly the hiccups stopped so he didn’t take the Thorazine.

I hope it works for you. Then you can be the poster boy for Thorazine, if you find any humor in it (I hope so...)

I took Thorazine for a while. It helped me with sleep until it pooped out. It also prolonged my QT heart rhythm after a bit so I had to stop it.

I take it if I go more than 5 days with no sleep.

I hate the hangover effect the next day of course , it’s very blurry vision up close for me.

But I have to sleep !

I was on Thorazine years ago. These days it's given in much smaller doses than it was many decades ago (causing the "Thorazine shuffle" and such). I recall that it was helpful. It did have a hangover effect, though. Not sure what to do about that except to drink some strong coffee when you wake up.

50mg didn't do much but 100mg I slept like a baby. Felt so good to finally get some good sleep two thumbs up for thorazine.
