I can’t do either because I can’t miss work. I am in a dispute with them and this could hurt my case. However I am not handling the stress very well. I don’t know what to do.

I just got out from 8 days inpatient. Work should, by law, not discriminate or fire you, depending on the state.

Did your T say why? If it's because of suicidal thoughts you should go IP it's shorter and can help get your medication fixed. Do you have time off (sick days, vacation days)?

Hello there,
Have you been at your job long enough to qualify for FMLA? Call your HR dept and speak with a rep. They have to hold your position until you return as long as you turn in a note from the hospital saying you were IP and for how long. __________________ #SpoonieStrong Spoons are a visual representation used as a unit of measure to quantify how much energy individuals with disabilities and chronic illnesses have throughout a given day. 1). If your T suggests it there has got to be a good reason. If you tell your job you are out for medical reasons and get a note from the hospital or IOP director you should be all set.

Not going could hurt the case far more. There are issues and the best thing is to stop working immediately with a sick leave.

I lost a job because I kept working when I was too depressed to and should have gone on leave. My work suffered and I was let go for cause.
