looking up wait times for rides at amusement parks (though I guess that's been with me for ages)

the UK theme park season started at the weekend, wooohoo
question:

if you could choose between looking after a child, and looking after a pet, which would you choose

I wouldn't want to choose; I love both. Realistically I can look after a pet better than I could manage a child but if I could have anything in the world I'd have both.

What do you do to distract yourself when you are sad?

I don't mind being sad. It's frustration, rage or anxiety that i hate. Sadness is a relief.

If you have a pet, do you like it when they snore? I love when my little dog snores!

None of my parrots ever really snored, but I guess it's possible. Many parrots make a crunchy crunchy sound (as I call it) when they are just falling asleep. That's a lovely sound because it is one of contentment I used to tell my husband that we should have recorded it and added it to my sound machine.

Sometimes parrots make noises when they dream. That can be cute, but if it's a bad dream it can almost sound like crying. That has scared me in the past.

Q: Do you have any form of what is considered a figurative "security blanket"? What or who is it?

TV. ID. 3 hrs timer. No medication other than L-Tryptophan. OTC.
The main character is always silent. The others whisper.
Even the commercials seem to have a lower volume.
Besides, I've seen so many that they're mostly repeats to me.
1/2 peanut butter jar helps too.

Do you have a roll model.

From mid to late May of last year I had a severe manic episode with psychosis. My husband and I were on a vacation in Portugal. It started with hypomania and intermittent anxiety features, then progressed to full blown. It was at its worst on our way home in airports. Airports are highly triggering for me. I had a visual hallucination where the digital signs in London Heathrow were showing that time stopped and that I would never get to our gate. Then I thought a woman infected my pen with anthrax. I was panicking and washing my hands over and over and wanted to throw out my courier bag, but my husband wouldn't let me. We almost missed our plane back to the US and my husband was afraid I wouldn't be allowed on the plane, but luckily I was. On the plane, my husband was crying. Then when we reached the US, the customs was hell and I was ranting loudly with people staring at me. I refused to stand in line. I waited at the top of the line for hubby to reach me, ranting things about the stupidity of the people that came up with the customs procedures and telling the people in line that when they got to the top they'd have to give a stool sample. Yup! This was not my worst episode. I've had much lesser episodes since then, but nothing note-worthy.

Q: What type of bipolar episode was your worst?

depressions are always the worst for me

they are so intense

not sure intense covers it, or a word has actually been in existance to describe how it makes me feel.

question: do you like dessert with your meals?. if so what do you have usually

I like dessert any time. Any of them. Ice cream, cake, cookies, pie, pudding, I love them all!

Q: How much dental work have you had to have done?

None really. I've been lucky, but I've put off the dentist for a while. My next trip may be a different story.

Q. What is your favorite book?

A: Flowers for Algernon -- A simple book with tons of meaning. I still cry reading it.

Q: Do you have a favorite play or musical?

I like "Les Miserables" but i've heard the soundtrack too many times. I also like "Chess," especially the song the swaggering, arrogant American sings when he bursts onto the scene.

Who is your favorite visual artist (painter) and why?

I can't remember the last time I went to the dentist
I imagine my teeth are pretty messed up, but like most things, I don't really care

well, I've not lost any for a while so that's a good thing right?

I am trying to remember who painted starry night (which is my favorite painting)

and now I'm annoyed, because their's a song about it..

starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and grey....

and I can't think who it is

oh my god

and my musical knolledge is meant to be good, and it's failing me

it's the guy who sang american pie
oh... screw it for now. but him.

what is the funniest thing you've ever witnessed (either in a tv or movie, or actually in life)

Hi rangingvortex, Vincent van Gogh painted "Starry Night", unless you're referring to another painting. "American Pie" was written by Don McClean, assuming you're referring to the song with the line "Drove my Chevy to the levy and the levy was dry..."

Gain fluency in French. Feel able to commit to working again, first on a part-time basis.

Q: What was/is your favorite game?

thanks for that

yes that's exactly what I'm looking for

to answer your question, I don't really have anyone to play with anymore (when I was a kid, I quite enjoyed monopoly) because it killed time basically, I was bad at it, but it was fun

nowadays I just play trivia games with alexa (and the odd card game)

I know, it's bad. I have no one to play with. that's how abandoned I am

anyway

my question is: what is something that you used to do when you were a child that you now miss?

Play the piano and trombone. Actually a lot of instruments; I could pick them up and play so I learned a bunch in high school band.

Where would your dream vacation be?
