Yes, keep us posted how your job search goes. It can be very frustrating and stressful looking for a job but it sounds like you are doing everything you need to do to find a new one that you like.

Just got notice that I made it passed the initial screening for another job. Just filled out some forms and will hopefully get a call for an interview.

Was contacted for an interview yesterday for Friday. I filled out all the paperwork and then nothing. Not another word from them. I need to know if I have to take Friday off or not. So I sent a short email just as a reminder. Still no response. I have no idea what is going on. How long should I wait?

Tomorrow at 10. This is my first in person interview in a long time. I have to buy new clothes since I have gained so much weight from meds. I hate clothes shopping. I can’t stand how I look. Doesn’t help that my T is really skinny like I used to be.

Hello Crook, I have been lurking in this post but I thought I could give you some interview advice from someone who's been put through a few of them and who obviously has to do them because of her job.

It's true that we tend to judge very quickly; I usually know if a candidate is going to be the one in usually 10 seconds based on appearance, the handshake, and obviously I look for a smile someone that is happy to be here. The next thing is obviously do they have the right education needed for the job so don't be afraid to talk about your schooling also if you have any sort of honors mention those; bosses like to hear that the candidate is top of their game.

Please don't sell yourself short; I honestly hate when I like the candidate and then they sell themselves so short.

Also I can detect nervousness more than anybody so please don't go crazy shaking your leg that just means you feel intimidated by everyone; try and be commanding and enthusiastic at the opportunity. Ask questions about the company that is usually a big sell that someone is very interested.

My last tip is just try and relax and read the room a lot of the times you can tell if the interview is going well; also try and read the room if you go off on a tangent it tends to bore the interviews.

Remember look professional; firm handshake; and a calm smile! You got this and I wish you all the luck. I'm glad you are trying to get out of the situation you are in; I wish I would have done the same when things turned sour for me as well.

You know if I was a T and had a client going to an interview I would text them good luck and maybe a calming exercise. I don’t understand why they don’t do things like that. Same thing with like surgeries and stuff. They won’t do well wishes well at least the ones I have had won’t. I feel that is just a nice and decent human thing to do. Ts and their boundaries confuse me at times. I know they aren’t our friends but they are still human.

Sorry just my nervous rant before I head in for my interview.
