On my List of Things I Hardly Do Anymore was writing. I’ve been working on showering and getting dressed every day, for a month, and it’s getting to be a regular part of my routine, so yay me!! Now I want to tackle making writing a part of my routine.
I like to write, but I tend to overthink it and obsess over sentence structure, correct word usage, and grammar- even when I am texting. Too many years of teaching English.
Continued on my next thread: Today’s Topic.

Congratulations on your success in showering and getting dressed every day. I like to write too but i write in a journal, just a record of my daily activities and i find it is good therapy and company and if it never serves any other purpose than that, it's still enough. Do you write fiction? I just read most of "Infinite Jest" by David Foster Wallace. Now THAT'S creative writing!

I have started journals, but I just can’t be consistent with them. Maybe, it’s because I need some feedback. I like to write to encourage, inspire, and teach. I also like to write poetry.

I agree that writing is a wonderful release, in so many ways. Ever think about creating a blog? There are sites where you can create free ones. You can build a following, which is rewarding. Or if you're more private, treat yourself to a lovely journal book or write wherever/whenever you like.

I have a blog where I have written posts on many topics and in many writing styles. Thinking about other things can be good for you.

Congrats on almost getting through that behemoth! My husband has designated "Infinite Jest" as his swim hole reading. He has been tackling it little by little for years.
