Hello, this is my first time here. I was diagnosed BP2 two years ago. I'm under tons of stress and am under hypomania or a mixed mood. I haven't been able to eat or sleep for around 10 days and I just crashed and slept 15 hours today. I'm supossed to be working at (ironically) a psychology conference today. I'm going to let myself sleep more if my body insists, but I need to work. What more should I expect? How long do these last?

I know my answer probably won't help you but my mood changes from hypomania to major depressive episode within 24 hours so it's so difficult to make plans and structure my day because it's all dependant on my mood. I hate my moods and I hate myself for having them. i just want to live a nornal life,

Welcome
We are all different so its impossible to tell you what will happen. Have you had any episodes similar to this in the past? For me after a hypomanic, manic or mixed episode I crash hard and that usually looks like staying in bed all day if I dont work, falling asleep incredibly early and sleeping 12-16 or more hrs a day. If I can make it to work I spend my breaks with my head down for a mini nap with a timer to just make it through the day. This normally lasts for a week although it sometimes can even be a month or two before it ends. __________________ Bipolar 1 Borderline Personality Disorder Alcohol Use Disorder Meds: Depakote Welbutrin Abilify I didn't want any flowers, I only wanted to lie with my hands turned up and be utterly empty. Unfortunately, as everyone has said we all experience mixed state or hypomania differently. Often hypomania turns into a mixed state as a mixed state is hypo/mania plus depression at the same time. When I am mixed it is clear to me by the HUGE amount of agitation I experience which is different to the irritability of hypomania. Please see you pdoc or T. It is best you get on top of this ASAP.
