Has anyone else had this happen to them where a medication you are on gets put on basically permanent back order. I swear I've called like 100 pharmacies near me and I get the same response from all of them; we have maybe a week in stock of that particular MG. We could give you a few days but try calling X it's bigger and they might have more in stock.

I don't know what I am going to do without my Buspirone. It has been the only thing that helps keep my anxiety at bay. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do because it appears it's in a nationwide shortage. Best I have is a pharmacy that can give me a week of them. I've honestly called pharmacies close to two hours away. I know it works for my anxiety and I don't know what I would do without it. I'm scared that if I don't have it my stability is going to drop and it's going to cause me a panic attack or something.

Granted my Cardio, Primary Doc; T, and Psych PA have a theory that I might not have true anxiety but rather it's my hypersensitivity to adrenaline that caused my big issues.

I'm just so scared to be without that medication. I know my Psych wouldn't hesitate to give me a PRN Benzo but that is not what I want to do. I don't want Benzo's; I want my Buspirone that I take three times a day and have no anxiety. I can at least work this way; I'm scared it's all going to hit me again like a train wreck.

Has anybody else had this issue; what did you all do about it?

I can't get my Restoril filled due to a shortage of Temazepam. The company that makes Temazepam didn't make enough in December so there was a bad shortage in January. It is just now starting to come back into stock again. I couldn't fill it today though pharmacy didn't have any.

I'm sorry you're struggling to find your Buspar, TheSeaCat. I have experienced something similar with a first generation antipsychotic, Thiothixene. Luckily I was in the process of being weaned off, so it wasn't a huge loss.

Sorry to hear that, TheSeaCat.

My Ritalin always has to be backordered, but fortunately, I can get it within a week or so. It just sucks having to wait for a backordered med--but I know my situation isn't as bad as yours.

Have you thought about a mail-order pharmacy? Maybe they have it in stock and you can get it that way?

I'm so sorry, TheSeaCat It must be terrible when that happens. I hope you'll be able to find an alternative, or that Buspirone will become available again. I'm so sorry, please don't give. I'd suggest to talk to your Pdoc about this and see how it goes from there. Hopefully he/she will be able to help you. We're here for you to support you. Is there anything we can do to help you? Please let us know. Remember that we're here for you. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this

I just found out today that is going to be at least another week until I can get my temazepam. On a side note my pharmacy is also out of the type of insulin also. FML
