Any tips on how to come down from mania? I can feel it right now. More so in the form of anger but I know that can change. And in the past I used pain or sex to get past it. However I’m not in the position to have sex right now nor do I want to go down that route. And I’ve already done the painful stuff. Which included piercing my nipples, tattoos in some unconventional and painful spots, and reckless driving. So all of those are old news and out of the picture.
Any tips? Any ways you’ve taken yourself down a notch? |

I wish I could give you some advice on how to deal with it yourself but my manias only end on their own terms. Mine go from bad to worse during the time that I give into the pain and pleasure to the point of making an attempt and only then does it start to slow down. That is obviously not what we want to see for you Medication can help though, do you have a pdoc or even gp you could talk to right now? __________________ Bipolar 1 Borderline Personality Disorder Alcohol Use Disorder Meds: Depakote Welbutrin Abilify I didn't want any flowers, I only wanted to lie with my hands turned up and be utterly empty. In addition my husband also confiscates my credit cards, wallet, car keys, etc etc. I find watching old movies in a darkened room slows my brain down and cutting my caffeine right down helps. __________________ Pookyl ———————————————————————————— BP1, GAD, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Claustrophobia Psych meds: Saphris, Seroquel XR, regular Seroquel.
