For the last 2 years, I've had a problem with laying on the couch and just staring off into space, at a wall, or at the ceiling. I don't have a desire to watch tv even. Just sit and stare. Now that I'm getting better, I don't feel the depression, but still stare into space and drift off. I hate it. I want to be able to enjoy things so I can stop doing this. If I could just enjoy watching tv or reading a book, it would be much better. Now on provigil, I have more energy so I will get up and do a few things the first 2 or 3 hrs of the day, but then it's back to being a zombie. Help.

Write yourself a routine to follow. It doesn’t just have to be the mundane stuff. You could go out and do something you enjoy and then reward yourself with chill-out time. I do most of my activity in the morning and do very little in the afternoon.

I also agree with Pookyl. My tdoc calls it "behavioral activations." Do you have a tdoc who can help you come up with a schedule to keep busy? Or even just do a few activities per day?
