The silence
For over 45 minutes since I have gotten out of bed, I am hearing the silence. I am in my chair with my laptop computer on my lap. The light is on next to my chair. It is still pitch black outside. I hear the silence. From time to time I can hear something outside. Still, the silence is my friend. It does not judge me, it is not critical of me, it is indifferent to anything I do. What better friend I can ever have. |

The central air. It is a pleasant sound. It's sad that I no longer hear my parrot.
The last music I listened to was about an hour ago in my car. I recall The Doors' "People are Strange", some Phil Collins song, a Red Hot Chili Peppers song, and one more that I forget, but I did like. I liked and sang along with all of them. |
